Dear Fellow LATA Members & Guests:
The St. Tammany Sales Tax Department is proud to host the 1st quarter LATA conference on March 10, 11, and 12, 2010 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Covington, LA. As we have done in the past, we are taking extra measures in an effort to provide you with a conference experience that is informative, entertaining, and memorable. We will need your assistance in signing up early in order to assist us in what we will be providing, so we ask that you sign up as soon as possible.
The HOTEL has given us a conference room rate of $109.00/night. This block of rooms will be held until February 18, 2010. You can make reservations by calling (888) 364-1200 under the group name Louisiana Association of Tax Administrators (LATA) or via the internet at our conference website:

Governmental employees should not forget to present those tax exemption forms at check-in (unless you want to give us a little extra lagniappe!)
The conference REGISTRATION FEE for members is $180.00 and $190.00 for non-members. There will NOT be a late registration fee, but if you get it in after February 18, 2010, be prepared to be hungry, not entertained, and have a much lighter goody bag! Registrations and funds should be sent to: P.O. Box 1229, Slidell, LA 70459 for processing.
The GOLF TOURNAMENT will be held at the gorgeous Money Hill Golf and Country Club in Abita Springs, LA on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 with a starting tee time of 7:30 am. This course is a good distance from the hotel, but well worth the drive! The tournament fee of $60.00 includes lunch. Golf registrations must be received by the same magic date of…February 18, 2010.
As usual, we welcome any assistance in the form of contributions or donations for the conference. Contributions may include items for the bags, door prizes, or cash donations.
