45th Annual Conference 2011

Dear Fellow LATA Members & Guests:
The 45th Annual Conference will be held at The Clarion in Monroe, Louisiana December 6th-9th. The Clarion is located directly off of I-20, located at the intersection of I-20 and Highway 165 on the North side of I-20 and the East side of the service road of Hwy. 165. We were able to get a block of rooms at a discount rate of $84 for single or double occupancy and $124 for suites. A complimentary Continental Breakfast is included in this rate. Reservations must be made by November 15th. You may call The Clarion at (318) 387-5100 to make your reservations. Do not forget to let them know you are with the LATA group to get the special rate.
We have some excellent speakers for the conference and are waiting to confirm others before putting out the program. Regardless of whether your specialty is sales tax, occupational license, or ad valorem taxes, there is something for you.
If golf is your game, you’re in for a treat. The scramble style golf tournament will tee off at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6th at Frenchman’s Bend in Sterlington. Lunch will be served at 11:30am. Your $45 registration fee covers the green fees, cart, lunch and beverages. Prizes will be awarded for “Longest Drive” and “Closest to the Pin”, as well as additional prizes.
Plans are still pending regarding our Wednesday and Thursday night functions but we can assure you that you will be entertained.
