50th Annual Conference 2016

50th Annual Conference 2016

December 7-9, 2016
Baton Rouge, LA

Dear LATA Members & Guests,

East Baton Rouge Parish is honored to be the venue for the 50th Annual LATA Conference! We will be hosting the conference from December 7 – 9, 2016 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center located at 201 Lafayette Street in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge. This historic, newly renovated hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants and night clubs as well as multiple popular tourist destinations like the Old State Capitol, the USS Kidd, the Shaw Center for the Arts and more. If you haven’t been downtown in a while we hope you’ll come check it out!

To make a reservation at the group rate of $98 per night, click the following link: www.hilton.com or call 1-800-955-6962. Remember to reference the group code LATA when making your reservation. The group rate will be available for reservations made through November 23, 2016.

The registration forms are being sent via email through our WildApricot software or can be accessed by the following link: www.laota.wildapricot.org. The early registration fee is $300 for members and $350 for non-members. A late fee of $25 will be added to registrations received after November 16, 2016 so please register early! Guests are welcome, but there will be a $50 guest fee to help defer the costs of meals and drinks at the social functions.

We are so excited for the opportunity to celebrate the milestone of 50 years with all of our members! In addition to the conference agenda, we have planned functions at the Roux House on Wednesday night with hors d’oeuvres, drinks and an acoustic musician, then a cocktail hour at Capitol House Thursday evening followed by dinner, drinks and music by Souled Out Band at the Lyceum Dean Ballroom on Third Street.

LATA is currently one of the most respected organizations representing local tax administration in the state. This level of achievement would not have been possible without the tireless dedication and effort of our membership over the years. At this 50th anniversary celebration, we will be recognizing the contributions of our past presidents and retirees at the Thursday night dinner and we hope you will join us in celebrating their accomplishments.

Feel free to contact our office with any questions or comments you may have at (225) 389-3084 or email Karen at kaddy@brgov.com. We hope you’ll join us and we look forward to seeing you in December!

Sincerely,

Tiffani Delapasse
