46th Annual Conference 2012

Dear Fellow LATA Members & Guests:

The Ascension Parish Sales Tax Authority is proud to host the 2012 LATA Annual Conference on December 4th, 5th, 6th, & 7th, 2012 in Baton Rouge, LA. The conference will be held at the Renaissance Hotel located at 7000 Bluebonnet Blvd, between the Mall of Louisiana and Perkins Rowe.

The hotel has set conference room rates of $119.00 for a standard room and $149 for a suite. A block of rooms will be held for the conference until November 5, 2012. LATLATA: $119.00 standard room

LATLATB: $149.00 queen/queen suite

The conference early registration fee for members is $275.00 and $300 for non-members. A late fee of $25 will be added to registrations after November 5, 2012, so please register as soon as possible. Registrations should be sent to P.O. Box 1718 Gonzales, LA 70737 for processing.

The Golf tournament will be held at Pelican Point in Gonzales on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 4, 2012. The registration fee for golf is $65, which includes green fees, range balls, cart rental, box lunch, etc. Anyone wishing to volunteer their services or make a contribution towards the golf tournament should contact Jim Bergeron with JPI at 888-581-8560 x 1.

We are planning an offsite dinner on Wednesday evening at Boutin’s Restaurant which is located just down the street from the hotel. Boutin’s is known for great Louisiana seafood and live Cajun music while you dine. Thursday’s evening event will include dinner with the installation of officers for 2013 and entertainment by 50’s & 60’s band Na Na Sha. Please wear your favorite “sock hop” attire to enjoy the classic sounds of rock-n-roll. You may win a prize!

As soon as we have finalized the agenda, we will post it onto the LATA website. However, at this time the agenda is scheduled to include State Treasurer, John Kennedy; writer and political humorist, John Maginnis; Chief of Staff, Paul Rainwater; Asst. Attorney General, Tom McCormick and the Bill and Rusty show.
